The carpet cleaning process - "Spray Extraction"

The method of carpet cleaning we use is known as “Spray Extraction” and is classified as “deep steam cleaning”.  This cleaning method is recommended by most carpet manufacturers and carpet fibre producers as it provides the best capability for cleaning.  The majority of other cleaning methods are considered "light surface cleaning" as they do not remove dirt deep in the pile and may also leave a residue of cleaning agent in the carpet which promotes re-soiling. Check with the carpet manufacturer or supplier for any cleaning recommendations.

The process used is “spray extraction” and consists of spraying a solution of very hot water and detergent into the carpet pile and recovering the water and dirt with a powerful vacuum, into a holding tank.   The carpet may remain damp for a period of time after the cleaning process and drying time will depend on location of the carpet and ventilation of the area.    We use the same process to clean rugs, upholstery and mattresses.
